Superintendent

Stephanie McConnell

"The single biggest way to impact an organization is to focus on leadership development. There is almost no limit to the potential of an organization that recruits good people, raises them up as leaders and continually develops them."
-John Maxwell

As superintendent of Hawkins ISD I am committed to educating our students and growing our teachers into leaders. I know first hand how a high-quality education can transform a person’s life.  Being the first family member to earn a college education and a child raised in poverty, I understand the value of an education.  I started my education at University of Texas at Tyler for my Bachelor’s Degree to become a teacher.  In addition, I earned a Master’s of Educational Administration from Texas A&M Unvieristy at Commerce.  Since 2005, I have been a school administrator.  I joined Hawkins ISD in 2017.  In 2019, I earned the Principal of the Year award from the Texas Rural Education Association.

It is an honor to be your superintendent of Hawkins ISD.
