Hawkins ISD Announces Kendal Kirk as New MS/HS Principal for 2025-2026 School Year
Hawkins, Texas – Hawkins Independent School District is proud to announce the appointment of Kendal Kirk as the new Principal of Hawkins Middle/High School for the 2025-2026 school year.
Mr. Kirk brings 29 years of experience in education to his new leadership role. Throughout his career, he has served as a dedicated U.S. History teacher and multi-sport coach, having coached football, volleyball, baseball, and soccer. For the past four years, Mr. Kirk has been a valued member of the Hawkins MS/HS administrative team, serving as Assistant Principal.
“I am honored to continue serving the students, staff, and community of Hawkins in this new capacity,” said Mr. Kirk. “I’m incredibly proud of what has been built here, and I’m looking forward to growing as a leader and working collaboratively to ensure continued success for all students.”
Mr. Kirk is married to his wife, Stephanie, of 25 years. Together they have two sons—Andy, 22, and Jack, 18—both of whom are currently pursuing degrees in aviation.
Superintendent Jeff Hutchins shared, “We are excited to have Mr. Kirk in this new role. During his time as Assistant Principal, he has demonstrated integrity, thoughtful decision-making, and a steady presence on campus. He is a strong supporter of both teachers and students and has built meaningful relationships. Mr. Kirk is a respected leader who believes in the power of connection, consistency, and high expectations. We are confident in the future of Hawkins Middle/High School under his leadership and look forward to the continued growth and success of our students and campus.”
