Principal's Message

Stephanie McConnell

It is an honor and privilege to serve another year in the Hawkins School District and community as the Elementary School Principal.  This year will be my 14th year as a school leader.  I graduated from Pittsburg High School, obtained my Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education from the University of Texas at Tyler, and my Masters degree from Texas A&M University in Commerce.

As we begin the new year, we will work to make Hawkins Elementary School a place where students can reach their full potential.  Every decision made will be based on what is best for our children.  I will support my teachers as we explore innovative ways to educate your child.  I am confident that the teachers here at Hawkins are equipped with the knowledge and skills to provide an exceptional educational experience.  I look forward to memorable and successful year.
