I am the Reading Resource and Math Resource teacher for the Middle School and High School campus. This year I will also be teaching the Math and Reading Resource for the 6th graders. My classroom is also called the Hawk's Nest. That is also known as Content Mastery.

This year we are changing our thinking. I am banning the word "can't" from the classroom! This year we will focus on changing the way we think about learning. Never forget the power of YET!

Here's a little about me. I lived in Longview, Texas until I was 15 when I moved to Corpus Christi, Texas. I graduated from Flour Bluff High School in 2003 and went to three different colleges. I graduated Magna Cum Laude from Texas A&M- Corpus Christi in 2008. In 2011, my sister and I began a homeschooling co-op for (mostly) students with special needs, which I ran until I came to Hawkins in January 2017.

My favorite things are my family, my cat Crookshanks, and books! I love to read and as you can tell by the name of my orange cat, Harry Potter is one of my many favorites. I also make quilts and volunteer through my church.

My conference period is from 2:00-2:45 everyday. I usually in my classroom by 7:30 each morning and am available until 4:00 pm.  If you have any questions, please call my classroom phone at 903-769-0553
