Students can register for the ACT by going to www.actstudent.org.  Hawkins ISD will pay for the student to take the ACT or SAT one time; or, if they are on free/reduced lunch, they qualify for a fee waiver.  See me for information.

Ready to register for the SAT but don't know where to start?  Here a short video that walks you through the online registration process for the SAT.  Click HERE.  You can register for the SAT by going to collegeboard.org.  Remember that Hawkins will pay for you to take the ACT or SAT, and if you are on free/reduced lunch, you qualify for a fee waiver.  See me for information.

The TSI is an online college placement test which covers reading, writing, and mathematics.  This test is a good measure of your skills and is required before you can take dual credit classes or register for college classes after high school.

We will give the TSI in the spring to juniors/seniors (probably on a voluntary basis). The cost will be $30 per student.  More details to come.

TSI practice material can be found online HERE.

Before taking the TSI, all students are required to complete a pre-assessment activity, which can be found HERE.  Students must bring turn in proof that they have completed the pre-assessment before taking the TSI.

We offer the ASVAB each year to 10th, 11th, and 12th graders.  The ASVAB is a career exploration test, so it is very beneficial in helping students narrow their career choices based on interest and ability.  The ASVAB is also the entrance test for the military.  Click HERE to access a website with study material.
