Honoring Our Heroes: A Special Celebration at Hawkins ISD
Hawkins ISD is proud to invite the community to our annual Veterans Day Program on Monday, November 11, at 9:00 a.m. at the HHS Gym. This heartfelt event is an opportunity for students, staff, and community members to come together and honor the men and women who have bravely served our nation.
The program will kick off with a complimentary breakfast for all veterans from 8:00 a.m. to 8:45 a.m. in the school cafeteria. This is our small way of showing gratitude for the incredible sacrifices made by those who have served.
The keynote speaker for this year’s program is Veteran Danny Smith of Hawkins. Mr. Smith’s inspiring message will highlight the meaning of service, sacrifice, and patriotism.
In addition to the keynote speech, we are honored to have a special performance by the Jarvis University Choir, whose powerful voices will fill the gym with stirring patriotic music. Our very own Hawkins ISD students will also participate in the celebration, with performances by our band showcasing their talents in honor of our veterans.
This program is a wonderful opportunity to reflect on the freedoms we enjoy today and recognize the individuals who have protected those freedoms. We encourage all veterans, their families, and community members to attend as we pay tribute to those who have served.
Join us for a morning of remembrance, gratitude, and celebration as we honor the brave men and women who have dedicated their lives to defending our country.
